Opening of an Interforest warehouse in Greensboro in the center of the US residential furniture market in North Carolina.

1982

Opening of a Webb warehouse in Cerritos, near Los Angeles, California (USA).

1983

First upstroke slicer at Furnierwerk Winsen and Interforest and conversion of conventional veneer dryers to press-dryers in all plants.

1984

Opening of a sales office in Tokyo (Japan).

1987

Closing of Holzwerke Kehl (Germany), a particleboard, door, wall paneling and ceiling panel production plant.

Closing of veneer production facility in Reutlingen (Germany).

1989

Start-up of a lumber sawmill operation in Bradford, Pennsylvania (USA).

Takeover of the veneer plant "Madepara" in Belem (Brazil).
