Danzer helps protect the environment by making every effort to find the best use for each piece of raw material, producing close to the resource and promoting sustainable forest management.

Making more out of wood

Danzer is investing in technology to extend the valuable resource – and to supply a better product for its customers.
Many innovations were created at Danzer over the decades (many are protected by patents) that were geared to improve the use of wood: trying to preserve as much of the valuable resource for high-value applications as possible.

Local production

Danzer is committed to producing close to the resource. Danzer production sites are located accordingly. The benefits for the environment are manifold: transportation of the bulky raw material is minimized; being close to the area of origin makes it easier to discern material from responsible sources. The local communities benefit both from using the natural resource in their area and participating in the economic value-add at Danzer mills and local suppliers and contractors.
