Who we are

A close-up of a person's hands in a suit jacket resting flat on a large, polished wooden surface with a prominent natural grain.

Founded in 1932, Danzer is a family-oriented company, managed by a member of the third generation. Danzer produces sliced veneer, lumber and innovative value-added wood products for decorative applications in high-quality furniture, automobiles, and interior architecture.

What we do

Danzer works with hardwood at different stages of processing. We produce sliced veneer, sawn hardwood and engineered wood solutions that meet the technical and aesthetic requirements of professional users. Our customers include wood product distributors, manufacturers of furniture, panels, doors, flooring, windows and interior components who rely on consistent quality and predictable supply.

Responsibility in practice

Danzer operates close to the resource of the world’s most important hardwood regions in the northern hemisphere. Our production sites are located where sustainable forestry is practiced and where long-term forest management is established.

We invest in technology and processes that reduce waste and improve material yield. Strict due diligence procedures guide our procurement. Most of the wood we process is FSC® or PEFC certified or verified through comparable systems.

Ownership and trust

Danzer is wholly owned by the Karl Danzer Foundation. This ownership structure was established to secure the long-term independence of the company. It allows us to think and act beyond short-term cycles, in line with the natural growth cycles of the hardwood resources.
