Investing in technical measures to prevent injuries

Using wood fuel for energy (“Biomass”) is a winning proposition for the environment. However any fuel made up of chips or particles can create dust that poses a risk of fire and explosion. At its major facilities, Danzer has installed Spark Detection Systems to proactively detect and prevent fires in the sawdust collection, handling, and storage systems.

Building a strong safety culture

Workplace health and safety are built into how we work. We set clear, site-specific health, safety and environmental (HSE) standards for employees and third-party contractors, supported by safety specialists at our locations who help implement and continuously improve safe working practices. Health and safety topics are reviewed regularly, risks are discussed openly, and actions are followed up throughout the year to help prevent incidents, strengthen safe behaviors, and support compliance.
